HOW TO DEAL WITH PHOBIA FOR LIFTS || MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

By Omugbe prisca - July 20, 2018

I know someone has been waiting for this blog post lol. Recently my secret about lifts was exposed. I went out with a friend to a mall, we needed to get to the last floor but the escalators were not working and we were left with no other option than the lift. So sad there was no one queuing, it was just me and my friend. I guess it was so because it was Sunday and it was still early or probably it just happened that way 🤷. You needed to see me, my heart was beating 100Xs its normal rate. So many thoughts ran through my mind in just few seconds and all I could do was to pray about power outage, which I did in fear.

In few seconds we were in the lift, immediately my friend hit the button to the last floor they took the light. My heart practically shifted position from the left to the right 😂  lol, I couldn’t hide my fear anymore, I was practically screaming and almost crying (covering my face right now because you are laughing at me lol). I am so claustrophobic; I hate small enclosed spaces (I am whispering that to you, because nobody must know my big secret 😉). My friend watched me in amazement; he never saw this little drama coming, finally the lift opened and I practically hopped out. Please don’t call me a bush girl ooohhhhhhh! lol

It was such an embarrassing experience; I had to go on Google to find out useful tips of getting over this phobia, thank Goodness I found great tips on www.wikihow.com you could check it out if you are like me.

Who is my partner in this? Will be glad to know am not alone oh.
I also need a volunteer to help me get over this.
Will love your suggestions on practical ways I could deal with this phobia too.

Do you have phobia for anything?  If you don’t mind feel free to share.

  4. I am glad that you are taking steps towards overcoming your worse fear. For me, I just do it anyway. The only way to conquer fear is to take action. After trying it one or two or three times. You are good to go.

  5. Well! Before going into what I have phobia for, I had like to commend your skills and uniqueness in writing. This piece is simply amazing and quite real and interesting, because I believe everyone had battled or still battling with fear in one way or the other. Okay now; has regard what I have phobia for, am always afraid of communicating my intentions and compliments to ladies, especially when am meeting them for the first time, don't ask me why because I expect you to know by now that ladies are complicated😁😂

    1. Thanks for the compliment and your honest feedback. Your phobia is called gynephobia but really don't need to be. Some ladies are cool and if you meet the one who isn't u shouldn't take any of her actions to heart. It's one of those things. Am glad you stopped by,do have a great weekend

  7. Lolz... My thoughts were, 'how will your face look like when you are now in a lift going to the 13th floor and Power outtage occurs onhe 8th floor? '...you will conquer this phobia certainly in time if you try Dubai Skydiving. *smiles*

    Beautiful piece though.
